Kothagudem: The contract staff of Singareni Collieries Company Limited along with the Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU) State vice-president (Singareni wing) Y Krishnaiah demanded the company management to solve the issues of contract workers working in housekeeping wing of the company. On Tuesday, the workers staged a protest at the General Manager’s office in Kothagudem. Also Read – JIH organises Eid Milap for sanitary workers Advertise With Us Speaking on the occasion, Krishnaiah demanded the management to enhance the salaries of contract workers who have been for many years with meagre payments. He also sought the management to credit the salaries into workers accounts by 7th of every month as the delayed deposit of salaries post 15th of every month was causing hardships to them. After the protest, the Union leaders and workers submitted a memorandum to General Manager K Basavaiah urging him to address the issues of contract workers.
