first_imgNathan Mullins lined out for Donegal today in a five-point win over Roscommon in Kilglass this afternoon in a first outing for new manager Declan Bonner.Donegal 2-16 Roscommon 1-14Donegal-born Mullins, a son of legendary former Dublin footballer Brian, plays his club football with St Vincent’s in Dublin and has represented both Donegal and Dublin at Under-21 level. Mullins partnered Hugh McFadden at centrefield as a new-look Donegal defeated the 2017 Connacht champions.Odhrán Mac Niallais, who spent 2017 away from inter-county football, impressed for Donegal this afternoon. The Gaoth Dobhair man is back in the fold again having been coaxed into a return by Bonner.Cian Mulligan and Darach O’Connor – who had an injury-hit time in the last 12 months – netted the goals in either half for Donegal.Four Masters’ Kevin McBrearty was included from the start while Milford’s Gary Merritt and Naomh Ultan’s Alan Lyons were among those given game time from the bench.
