Additionally, Trevor Lawrence will likely be the favorite to win the 2020 Heisman Trophy over the summer, so it would be a shock to not hear Heisman mentioned at least two or three times. Will President Trump predict a winner before kickoff? Yes +400 / No -700The 45th President of the United States loves sports, and he confirmed that he will be attending this game in person earlier in the week. The POTUS was in Tuscaloosa for the LSU-Alabama showdown back in November, and he has cordial relations with both Ed Orgeron and Dabo Swinney. That’s why it’s unlikely for Trump to pick a winner before the game, but the winning coach can certainly expect a call from the POTUS after the game. Will President Trump tweet during the game? Yes +300 / No -500Trump loves social media more than any other politician, but he has tamped down his Twitter usage over the past year. He is not as active on the social media platform as he was earlier in his presidency, and he doesn’t usually tweet during important political or sporting events. The oddsmakers were sharp with the line for this one. There are sure to be plenty of fireworks, and in addition to betting on the game itself, you can bet on player props and more exotic options. However, Joe Brady brought LSU’s offense into the 21st Century with schemes and route trees he learned at New Orleans under Sean Payton, and Burrow has smashed dozens of school records as a result.Burrow has thrown for over 5,200 yards this season, and he is on pace to set the NCAA single season completion percentage record. He has completed at least 71 percent of his passes in every game, averaging 372 YPG through the air. Clemson has the best scoring defense in the country, but the Tigers from South Carolina haven’t seen a quarterback like Burrow in 2019.Trevor Lawrence over/under 284.5 passing yardsLawrence has been night and day from the first half of the season to the second half. Clemson’s star quarterback tossed eight interceptions in the team’s first seven games, and the defending national champions appeared unlikely to repeat after a slow start. The sophomore quarterback is back to his old self now though, and he hasn’t thrown a pick in seven straight games. He overcame a shaky start to lead Clemson past Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl, showing a willingness to tuck it and run with the game on the line. Lawrence is likely to use his mobility often again, but the early action on this prop bet is on the over. MORE: Full betting preview for LSU vs. ClemsonWill Odell Beckham Jr. be shown during the broadcast? Yes +170 / No -250Odell Beckham Jr.’s reunion with former LSU teammate Jarvis Landry did not pay off as everyone expected this offseason. Cleveland was the favorite per the NFL futures odds to win the AFC North for much of the offseason, but the Browns could only manage to go 6-10.OBJ loves the spotlight, so he might relish the chance to see his former school play in the national championship after a dismal season. There are similar odds for Landry to be shown on television during the broadcast, but OBJ is more likely to be picked out of a crowd and highlighted by ESPN. How many times will “Heisman” be said during the broadcast? Over/Under 1.5 times The safest prop bet on Monday night is on the announcers to say the word “Heisman” at least twice during the broadcast. Everyone has raved about Burrow all year, and it’s only natural to call LSU’s quarterback the reigning Heisman Trophy winner or mention that he won the Heisman Trophy multiple times in one facet or another.
