first_img Jonathan Douglas 1 Jonathan Douglas has completed his move from Brentford to Ipswich Town.The 33-year-old moves to Portman Road on a free transfer and has signed a one-year deal.Douglas was a key figure for Brentford last season but was surplus to requirements at Griffin Park under new head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen.In total, he made 187 appearances for the Bees, scoring 17 goals, after joining the club from Swindon Town in 2011.He is the third signing made by Mick McCarthy’s side this week, following deals for midfielder Giles Coke and winger Larsen Toure.Douglas could make his debut for Ipswich against Brentford on Saturday, with the two sides meeting at Griffin Park in the opening weekend of the Championship season.last_img
