Kodak unveils Hero allinones with Google Cloud Print support

first_imgGoogle Cloud Print has yet to take off in a big way, but Kodak’s latest line of printers might help change that. Meet the Hero 3.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, and 9.1 — all of which support Google Cloud Print for easily passing along print jobs from your Android or iOS device or from any computer you’re running Google Chrome on (including Chrome OS).The Hero line are all-in-one devices that can print, copy, and scan, and all models are Wi-Fi enabled. Pricing starts at just $99.99 for the Hero 3.1 and tops out at $249.99 for the workhorse Hero 9.1, which adds a 30-page automatic document feeder for big scanning and copying jobs, an automatic duplexing unit for two-sided prints, a separate 40-sheet photo paper tray, and a huge 4.3-inch color touchscreen. For small and home offices, the Hero 6.1 adds a fax modem to the mix because even in 2011, a lot of business communication still relies on faxing documents back and forth. In addition to supporting Google Cloud Print, the Kodak Hero printers all have a unique email address as well. That means you can easily print from any phone that can send an email message, not just Android and iOS devices. A good number of attachment types are supported, including Word documents, Excel sheets, Powerpoint slide shows, PDFs, JPEG photos, HTML, and plain text.Read more at Kodaklast_img read more
