MEET COUNTY COMMISSIONER CHERYL MUSGRAVE

first_imgFacebookTwitterCopy LinkEmailShare We have been observing Vanderburgh County Commissioner Cheryl Musgrave for a long time and must admit that she is a hard-working and dedicated public servant.Cheryl is known to be somewhat headstrong and sometimes becomes a little opinionated.  She has a reputation for doing her homework and enjoys a spirited public debate on the facts. From time to time Commissioner Musgrave takes on the political establishment without wavering. We especially like the way she fought for public access to closed-door meetings which forced greater accountability.  Although she is very conservative she has the ability to embrace financially progressive ideas. Finally, we are pleased with the way our current Vanderburgh County Commissioners are working in harmony for the betterment of the citizens of Vanderburgh County.MEET COUNTY COMMISSIONER CHERYL MUSGRAVE Vanderburgh County Commissioner 2017 To PresentOver $88 million investment in new trails, road repairs/expansions, and a new railroad overpass underway.Award-winning 20-year Road Plan.A leader in Broadband, earning state’s “Broadband Ready” status.First litter clean up program for county roads. Vanderburgh County Commissioner 2005-2007President, November 2005 to July 2007.Financed and planned over $40 million in bridge and road projects a historical high.Founder, Growth Alliance for Greater Evansville.First televised access to many local government meetings Vanderburgh County Assessor 1995-2004. Managed a $400,000 budget.Project Champion for Vanderburgh County Geographic Information System (GIS).Created the first Indiana assessment web site, first Internet streaming of government meetings.Developed an informative tax bill statement for state-wide use.Vanderburgh County Board of Review, Citizen Appointee 1991-1993.Fought for public access to closed-door meetings, greater accountability.
